What I Want
Foremost, my goal is to be complete; to turn the lead of my life into gold, to find the Philosopher Stone in myself, if you will. I wish to reach my full potential and achieve individuation.
I seek to find kindred spirits willing to exchange knowledge and experiences. This way, I assume we may advance more on our respective paths and evolve maybe at a faster pace than if we were all separated.
I intend to produce a change within myself as well as change the world by simply being myself: an artist. By creating artworks of various kinds, I am able to know myself truly; as I explore deeper within myself and understand who I am at the core. I wish to share my perceptions of reality with others and hopefully help to make a consciousness shift they might seek more easily. I wish to make people realize that there is magic everywhere around; that all around magic is happening if you decide you want to be aware of it.
There are many ways to connect, create a link with people in order to bring a change or a least plant the seed so it can grow:
How I can Do It
My Life Artwork “Crimsublime” is my magnum opus.
It connects most of what I am creating together in a gigantic multiverse that breath and evolves. From it will emerge a multitude of projects: books (traditional, interactive, and multimedia), the Chronicles of Crimsublime blog, the official website at www.crimsublime.com, online and offline exhibitions, games and quizzes (both online and in printed form), workshops, gatherings, etc.
I joined Zaadz. It is wonderful how they can bring hope to people that wish to change the world. They bring a structure into dream and by bringing people together that really want to make a difference; they have helped to make a giant step towards a better world. When you join them, you know that you are not alone of your path.
I want to work on my wellness on a day by day basis by using different means:
Everyday Morning Yoga
Everyday Drink a lot of water
Everyday Eat the right quantity of good food (and not spoil any of it)
Everyday Meditate
3 times a week do my personal arrangement of physical activities:
streching, belly dancing, martial arts, tai-chi, qi-gong, SFactor, sit ups and such and finish it all with tea after meditation.
I have already started to integrate Simple Living-Voluntary Simplicity to my life. But when I am truly ready and do have a bit of money aside to take a break from working for a while I will just at that point devote myself to Life, to Art, to Experiences, to Spirituality.
Salon: gathering and social life today
A salon is a gathering of stimulating people of quality under the roof of an inspiring hostess or host, partly to amuse one another and partly to refine their taste and increase their knowledge through conversation and readings, often consciously following Horace's definition of the aims of poetry, "to please and educate" (aut delectare aut prodesse est). The salons, commonly associated with French literary and philosophical salons of the 17th century and 18th century, were carried on until quite recently in urban settings among like-minded people of a 'set': many 20th-century salons could be instanced. Literary gatherings before this were often referred to by using the name of the room in which they occurred, like cabinet, réduit, ruelle and alcove. (source wikipedia)
Now this is all good and simple. But one thing remained in my mind:
What are/is the Artistic Styles of Crimsublime?
In my view, all that I do is linked. Now it brought me to the reflexion of I have start creating again after many years. This feel so good to at last be able to express what I have inside by words, images, music, movements. To have my view and emotions transcend barriers and touch people. Now I know that many have told me that my photography has a style that is recognisable, but I want to somewhat have a overall style that is stricking as being mine and that does truly reveal my realities. I have thought about it, I have tried to gather my feelings and thought and make a understandable manifesto of some sort regarding what is my artistic style.
General Style of Crimsublime
Transgressive art refers to art forms that go across or against basic mores (strongly held norms or customs.) It can be found in any art which by some is considered offensive because of its shock value. Some themes common are mental states which may be defined as relating to illness (the Dadaists and Surrealists)
Inspirations: William S. Burroughs, H. R. Giger, Crispin Glover, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Lloyd Kaufman, David Lynch, Marilyn Manson, Chuck Palahniuk, Mark Ryden, Chuck Palahniuk.
Eccentricity is often associated with genius, giftedness, or extreme creativity. The individual's eccentric behavior is seen as the outward expression of his unique intelligence or creative impulse. In this view, the eccentric's habits are incomprehensible not because they are illogical or the result of madness, but because they stem from a mind so original that it cannot be conformed to "normal" society.
Inspirations: David Bowie, Mike Patton, Cyndi Lauper, Jim Morrison, Enki Bilal, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Björk, Marc Bolan, Tim Burton, Aubrey Beardsley, Kate Bush, George Clinton, Michael Jackson, John Lydon Marilyn Manson, Freddie Mercury, William Blake, Philip K. Dick, Charles Baudelaire, Arthur Rimbaud, Oscar Wilde.
The term Avant-garde is often used to refer to people or works that are experimental or novel. The avant-garde pushes the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm within definitions of art-culture-reality.
Inspirations: Björk, Kate Bush, Mike Patton, Pink Floyd, Yes, John Lydon
Visual Style of Crimsublime
Its style is basically a psychedelic-new age-visionary style while retaining the general feel of the whole.
Reality 1 : The material-mundane world
It is grey, dull with publicity everywhere. People faces are sad and depressed; their eyes seem empty of life. But sometime there is kind of a bright spot (not on all illustration but still 75% of the time) where there is someone, a place or an object that radiates energy; full of colors like it is its aura.
Reality 2 : Modern Primitive World
Nature took back its place in the world. Buildings are in decay in the cities; there are trees everywhere, foliage, insects, flowers and wild animals. People that are in the cities are actually quite happy with their lives; smile, celebrate, wear clothes of vibrant colors. They are the descendants of those that were left behind when humans left earth to go colonize another planet when they brought Gaia nears her death.
Reality 3 : Higher self
It is all about energy, aura, chakras, energy places and centers. It almost becomes abstract in its form; it is the most psychedelic looking reality.
Reality 4: Xanadu-Arcadia-Zion
This is the fantastic world that most consider to be legends and myths. It is magnificent and rich. In some of the illustrations, you can recognize elements of the mundane reality since they overlap each other
Reality 5: Grotesque and Mad
It is dark, full of my fear and nightmares. It is full of pain and things I did not wish to see for years. It is also when the mundane reality goes beyond grey and gets really ugly.
Musical Style of Crimsublime
Dark cabaret draws influences from burlesque, vaudeville, folk, punk, gothic rock and darkwave music styles, as well as Film noir. It is characterized by driving piano and by deep female or male vocals and the music may center around another instrument such as the cello or accordion.
Inspirations: Marc Almond, Black tape for a blue girl, Danny Elfman, The Dresden Dolls, Nina Hagen, Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows.
